Here is another panorama from my trip to Shark Bay, Western Australia last month. It shows the view from Steep Point ... the westermost point on the Australian mainland. While we were standing here we saw a large loggerhead turtle in the surf below. Dirk Hartog Island is visible in the distance ... a panorama from the cliffs on Dirk Hartog. Here is another panorama from the tip of Peron peninsula. And another panorama from the Steep Point area -- of an amazing section of the cliffs with lots of acoustic blowholes -- large and small -- which make loud organ-noises as the waves come in and out below and force air through them. Here is another panorama - of the vermin-proof fence that runs right across Peron peninsula --- part of Project Eden. A panorama from the very top of Dirk Hartog Island ... I think this is my favorite location that I visited ... very remote feeling. A recent news item about how the island will be made into a National Park.
