Painted folk - panorama - charging into the surf at Maroubra Beach yesterday -- after a charity bike ride. This beach is the the hangout of the Maroubra Boys, self-appointed local surfer beach guardians and the subject of a lot of media attention in the last few years. I saw a couple of the 'Bra Boys, identifiable by the tattoos on their shoulders. The beach itself, which I hadnt visited for ages, has its charms, with a large undeveloped area at its southern end giving it a bit of a wilderness feel.
