Sydney has been visited by a high-tech video billboard airship the last few weeks. Yesterday I went up in it and took this twilight panorama over Sydney Harbour. It was quite a long day in it actually since it had to fly into the city from Camden airport which is right in the country almost. Here is a view of the interior of the airship as we were travelling towards the city. Panorama. And here is the scene just before we took off from the airport - panorama. And here is a view over the northern beaches ... panorama.

Late winter -- must be time for the City to Surf. This fun run yesterday -- panorama -- is the largest in Australia. To keep the crowd calm there is no "ready set go". There is just a start gun right on the start -- meaning that half the runners are frantically consulting their watches at the start.

Sydney has had some beautiful clear winter days lately after a couple of weeks of rain. Panorama. This is in the middle of the Harbour Bridge. The bridge was built by extending arches out from either shore, joining them, then adding the roadway. The join of the arches is directly above here -- the actual meeting of the arches was a big drama for the bridge builders.
