Peter Debnam, the hard nut, law n' order, surfing Leader of the Opposition in the State Parliament is a fan it seems of studio-based art education. Here he is yesterday in Macquarie Street telling grateful students from the National Art School that he will assure their independence against amalgamation threats after the upcoming State elections -- if he wins. Panorama.

Here is the famous busker India Bharti singing at Marrickville Festival (in the inner west of the city) on the weekend ... panorama. Beautiful spring weather for yesterday's Earthdance Festival in inner-city Sydney Park -- panorama. There were multiple stages. The local arts group Mekanarky had a particularly impressive setup. They used the entire nose cone section of a large plane and had it sitting on top of a hill -- with the dj mixing in what was once the pilot's position -- peering through the windscreen at the punters. And they had a crew of nicely costumed officers too -- panorama.

I had a second ride on the Holden Airship the other day -- we toured over the Southern Highlands and the South Coast mostly. Here is a panorama over Fitzroy Falls ... and one over the Wollongong suburbs -- panorama. From NASA imagery in Punt (like Google Earth) I stitched together this panorama of satellite imagery of the region. The locations of the airship panoramas are marked with the red dots. And here is a shot of the crew getting the airship ready before we left -- at a misty Camden airport -- panorama.
