Yesterday I left the city (perhaps a good thing to do on that inauspicious date) and headed off via train to Goulburn (3/4 of the way to Canberra). Goulburn was beautiful in the sunshine, with lots of cherry blossum blowing in the breeze. My tourist trek included the Giant Merino - panorama - the fantastic Anglican Cathedral and and a riverside walk along the Wollondilly. A panorama of the Cathedral shortly. The Merino is one of the most famous of Australia's "big things".
