Tuesday I went up to Hervey Bay in Queensland to do some aerial photography. This picture for instance shows the Bay with Fraser Island (world's largest sand island) visible on the right on the horizon. Hervey Bay is now a major ecotourism destination. The whale watching season starts there in a few weeks. Some decades back big game fishing was a major attraction -- and Vic Hislop's Shark Show ... panorama ... celebrates that as being socially responsible ... with regard to sharks at least. (They are whale as well as people killers according to him).
